Installation du Chauffage Dickinson

Un sacré boulot en
perspective: Jacqueline a dit " Je ne veux pas du travail "constructeur amateur",
(a-t-elle dit aussi "cette fois"?).
Va falloir reprendre les
boiseries proprement , dissimuler le réservoir en charge, faire un piquage gasoil et retour gasoil, un protection en feuillard inox et plaque isolante, une
mise à l'air du réservoir, une fixation du réservoir, une ligne électrique pour
le ventilateur de démarrage, une pour le niveau de carburant, un passage de pont
avec cale de rattrapage, une protection de la cheminée à l'extérieur, un bouchon
étanche (en cas de chavirage), voilà à première vue.

A new project and Jacky said: Oh I don't want an
amateur job! (did she said this time??).
We'll need to replace some woods, hide the gravity tank, brase a supply
connection and diesel return , a stainless steel insulating plate, and
insulating material, fix the tank, connect a line from the switchboard
for the starting fan and the supply pump, a level indicator for the
tank, une adaptor wood for the deck passage, a chimney protection
outside on the deck, a waterproof tap for the chimney - for heavy seas,
that is for a first quick look.

Le bout de carré est démonté, on voit la coque. Il faudra que cette
partie reste accessible bien sûr. |

Moment important avec
beaucoup de cogitations, le perçage du pont, Présentation du poêle, mais
il reste encore pas mal de travail: sur le réservoir en charge, un
jerrican transformé, l'alimentation gasoil le feuillard inox etc. etc.

With a lot of thinking we
drill out the deck. Then dummy test for the installation but still a lot
of work to be performed: on the gravity tank, the fuel piping, the
insulation material and the SS sheet.... |

Le reservoir à base d'un
jerrican carburant sur lequel nous avons brasé un piquage arrivée sur le
côté, une prise d'air sur le dessus et un départ vers le poële au
dessous. Le petit flexible sera notre témoin de niveau.

caché derriere un dossier diu petit carré. |

The fuel gravity tank is
made ou from a basic steel Jerrican. On the top the air bleed, on
the side the fuel intake, on the bottom the fuel drain to tthe stove.
The small cristal hose will be out level indicator. The tank is
hidden on the settee back. Gravity tank in place.

Le filtre gas oil, qui est
commun au groupe -lequel ne fonctionne (ra?) plus- et la pompe de charge
du reservoir de charge ci-dessus. |

Présentation du feuillard
inox en tole de 12/10 avant soudure de la partie basse et de la joue.
Pour cela je me suis inspiré du montage du bateau
Empire. |

A 12/10mm stainless steel
sheet before welding together the support and the side walls. I've
borrowed some ideas from the S/Y Empire. |

Soudures . Cette fois je ne
suis pas arrivé à régler le poste avant la fin de la bouteille d'argon ,
bon elle était presque vide, donc effectuées par l'atelier Courcières à
Narbonne. |

Installation des pattes de
fixation et prépartions des perçages pour les pieds de fixation. On
aperçoit l'isolation thermique doublée de scotch Aluminium sur la
périphérie. |

We bolt holding straps and
drill holes for the stove legs. We can see the insulating material
doubled by aluminium tape. |

Et voilà. Le ventilateur de
démarrage connecté, les flexibles branchés, le gas oil arrive bien dans
le poële.
Test demain. |

Here it is. Stating fan
connected, fuel hose hook up, the diesel reachs the stove.
Test for tomorrow. |

Et voilà, ça fonctionne, ça
chauffe l'enfer et c'est beau. |

Here we are, Dickinson is
working. Heating like hell and a beautifull fire gives really a home
touch! |

The final touch was to complete nicely
the wood work, a real complete day work. |

on doit faire honneur au modèle, il s'appelle ANTARCTIC! Eh bien,
allons-y. |

honour the trademark model, its name is Antarctic! Let's go for it. |

Ce qu'on aurait pu éviter
|
Après 8 heures d'essai à plein
régime, on aurait pu éviter la sole en inox, car le poële rayonne très
peu vers le bas, et aussi diminuer la taille du doublage inox des
parois. |
|
After 8 hours of trial test at full rate,
we could have save the stainless steel flooor as the stove radiates very
little downwards and teh wall could have been smaller too. |
