amazing anchorage inside Saint Paul crater, and to can fresh lobster.
Nobody never dive in this crater, but we don't mind to be the first, we will
dive for the fun and the hot water springs below sea level. |

windy, icy, rocky on the end: very hot situation. These are the 25 days
the more demanding. We'll need a bit of luck to land at Dumpont D'urville
French scientific station. But chance always favors prepared people.

HISTORY/
The island Kerguelen was discovered by a French navigator, Chevalier Yves de
Kerguelen-Trémarec, on 12 February 1772. On the day after the discovery, the
Captain of the Gros-Ventre (a ship), de Boiguehenneue, managed to land in a bay,
now called Gros-Ventre Cove. He left for home after claiming the island for
France. Captain Kerguelen never actually set foot on the island, even though he
discovered it.
